South Africa Outreach

Why South Africa?

In 2022, the AWOL team traveled to Cape Town, South Africa to reach women in ministry and women who have experienced various forms of abuse. Your support enabled our team to reach 11 women working in ministry across South Africa. Their responsibilities vary from teaching Pastors, co-ministry Pastors with their husbands, facilitating leadership retreats, conferences, and the day to day ministry of their Churches.

The women who attended live in an extremely oppressed part of the city and suffer many hardships from domestic abuse (emotional/physical/sexual) and wear the shame of HIV affected/infected. The male figure within their lives offers neglect in many forms. Our team dedicated time to present the theme for these conferences of “EL Roi”, meaning the God who sees/who cares. Biblical truths were brought out in story form, song, crafts, and scripture dedicated with our guest’s individual names included.

Most of the women have not experienced very much personal care within their lives, so this was our opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus! We had eyes to see the hardships, wipe tears, make space for dedicated prayer time over each one, and give gentle hugs.

At the end of 2022, our team felt called to travel again to Cape Town and make things more official. We launched AWOL South Africa and brought on two leaders to our team who will lead our outreach program to women in distress in Cape Town.

As of May 2023, we are officially in Cape Town every month and have assisted more than 30 women out of domestic violence situations.

This is why we do what we do, and why we need your help.

Ways To Get Involved Today

Sponsor an Outreach

Our weekly outreaches are the way we connect with the women and provide consistent support for them. Every week cost around $200 covers, gas for outreach vehicles, lunches, hygiene kits and extra care kits for the women. $6/day for consistent hope and freedom.

*This is the perfect option for someone looking to support but doesn’t have time to put together physical items needed.

Donate Hygiene Kits

The Need: 100 hygiene kits put together and delivered our team for the month.

Each standard kit contains 9 travel-sized items: shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush, washcloth, deodorant, and a razor. We also like to add in special items when we can, such as make up, nail polish, or perfume to help the women to feel beautiful… because they are!

Our main focus of outreach is to build relationships with our friends on the streets and to share the love of Jesus with each one, but we do recognize that there are other immediate needs we can meet.

Donate Lunches

The Need: 20 Lunches (sandwich, 2 snacks and a drink) put together and delivered to our team each week.

Providing meals are a major part of our street outreach and an awesome way for you to get involved! We accept donations of specific items and donations of completed meals. Each week out meals are sponsored by various organizations and people within the community. If you have any questions or would like to sponsor our outreach, email us.

We believe that each meal we pass out should be a meal we would serve to Jesus and that is why we love to bless our friends with extra meaty sandwiches with lettuce, tomatoes, mayo, mustard, and thick slices of cheese!

Who We Are & What We Do

All Worthy of Love is a justice focused non-profit that reaches out to men and women enslaved by street-prostitution. Our mission is to restore broken dwellings, based on the teachings of Isaiah 58.

We work in a three stranded cord; reach, rescue, and restore.

We prevent sex-trafficking through awareness. We promote awareness through various speaking engagements at local churches, schools, and small groups to educate the community of modern day slavery. We rescue victims of trafficking through weekly outreach. We restore victims of trafficking through partnerships with local organizations that offer safe housing and restorative care.

Our Main Focus is Outreach

The vision for our outreach team is building consistent relationships. We can spend three years fostering a relationship before seeing an individual ready to exit the industry. Our outreach team is intentionally kept small and we require a one year commitment so our friends working the streets see the same people consistently and as a result develop deep friendships.

A team goes out to the same neighborhood every week.

We reach out to men and women working on the street and we visit several crack houses. We pray with prostitutes, pimps, drug dealers, and gang members. We believe that the women are enslaved to one thing and the pimps/drug dealers are enslaved to another – but both are worthy of love.

Huge Thank You to Our Partners

Combating modern day slavery will not be accomplished through one organization, but rather through the help of many! We love to partner with organizations that are already doing great things and come alongside them. We believe that the Church is God’s answer to injustice. A special thank you to our long-standing partners, we couldn’t do what we do without you! Teamwork makes the dream work!

We Believe In A Church Mobilized

When Lindsey first started All Worthy of Love, she wanted others to experience the Jesus she saw while on outreach. She dreamt of developing a program that the local Church could be involved in at every level. From joining the outreach team, to packing lunches, personal care kits, notes of encouragement, and even baking cookies, our ministry offers a way to get involved for every person, at every age and skill level.
